Wanted to draw some crystals. Sort of bit off more than I could chew, the transparency and all the different textures proved difficult to draw in just ink. I think it looks ok, but it got a bit sloppy on the right.

Map of the continental United States. I’ve drawn Alaska before, so didn’t feel it was super important to include it. The right side was waaaay harder than the left side, though, both sides were pretty difficult. It’s recognizable, but I still see parts that I’m not happy with.

Wanted to do a detailed drawing of my hands. Had Jon take the reference photo, since my hands were occupied :). Like the way it turned out, though the thumbs are a bit off, and I wish I had placed it in the frame better.

A two-page noodle doodle. I’ve done a few of these before. I didn’t try too hard to make this look like something like I did last time. Kind of wanted it to represent my dog, there are two ears in the top left corner, but overall, just a fun pen control exercise really.

The Star Trek: TNG U.S.S. Enterprise. Lots of window details I probably could have spent more time on. Really fun to draw though!

Cross-cut of a redwood tree. Tried playing with texture and line with the marker. I think it turned out ok.

Been watching all The Simpsons episodes on the Fox Now Apple TV app. Up to the middle of season 8 at the moment. I think we’ve past most of the good episodes. The rest will be a task, hah.

Drew a scene of the pyramids at Giza. I like most of it, except for the rolling clouds on the left side, didn’t come out the way I’d hoped.

Drew a map of Canada. I picked it because I thought it would be interesting, but also because I thought it would be low effort. I was wrong on that one. All those islands, and natural borders were very difficult. And the scaling had to be perfect. The top and right were a little squished, needed more room for Newfoundland.

Theme of some people sitting at a table was suggested to my by a friend. I don’t know where the inspiration for the details came from. Just started outlining some shapes, and this ended up happening.
